About the job:  As a Communications Intern you will become an integral member of our Internal Communications team. This team is responsible for all aspects of internal corporate messaging and serves across the enterprise, providing the opportunity to engage in a wide range of projects and assignments that cover the entire scope of corporate communications.  As a Communications Intern you can expect to:

  • Assist with internal communication strategies and vehicles
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to write and edit compelling stories
  • Provide copy and content ideas for company intranet and social platform
  • Create flyers, tip sheets, and other promotional materials for internal programs
  • Leverage and embrace technology and visual communications to provide new and creative ways to reach our audiences
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including video, presentations, and more
  • Work part-time, currently remote, for 15-20 hours a week.  Days and times are flexible and can be agreed upon with the manager at the time of hiring.



Job Requirements

  • Current Junior or Senior working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or other related fields
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA (no rounding)
  • Passion and a knack for storytelling and writing. Must be able to write clearly, concisely, and creatively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in editing and proofreading
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of WordPress and Beaver Builder a plus, or the ability and willingness to learn
  • A love for creativity and for thinking outside of the box. All ideas are good ideas!
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to stay on task and meet deadlines while working remotely
  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours/week
