Job Description


The content marketing optimization manager will build, own, measure, and manage PODS content marketing efforts with heavy focus on email and analytics. The right candidate will own the A/B testing roadmap, inventory of assets, and be heavily involved in content strategy. This individual will bring new innovative ideas, diligent measurement processes, and have a passion for driving revenue, conversion, and customer satisfaction growth. 


  • Lead A/B testing as an ongoing discipline to constantly improve campaign results across various digital marketing channels with heavy focus on email.
  • Project Manage A/B testing from Concept, Creative, Execution, Results
  • Produce and present A/B testing results with recommendations on the implications of the findings
  • Research best practices to understand what should be tested to have the largest impact
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional participants (leadership team, demand generation, product marketing, marketing operations, call center, web team) as needed to support content ideation, creation, activation and measurement requirements
  • Manage meeting and resource schedules, workflows and deadlines associated with content marketing activities
  • Execute A/B testing in the automation platform
  • Collaborate with marketing program owners, content strategists and/or campaign managers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate
  • Collect, analyze and report on campaign success via standard content marketing–related KPIs, using Web analytics tools, marketing automation platforms, social media management tools, content marketing software and business intelligence platforms to inform and optimize ongoing content marketing efforts
  • Continuous match back of campaigns to core business KPIs including orders and phone calls to understand performance outside of core email success metrics

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5 years of content marketing experience
  • 1-2 years of email marketing experience
  • Experience in one of the following marketing automation platforms a plus: Marketo, Adobe Campaign, Exact Target (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), Silverpop (IBM Watson Campaign)
  • Experience with Google Analytics a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of customer needs, using that insight to help guide content development
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and consensus-building skills – ability to work with cross-functional teams including upstream content contributors and downstream content activators
  • Must have high attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple projects successfully and prioritize tasks effectively
  • HTML experience a plus
