Job Description


Responsible for supporting and monitoring the company’s employee benefits plans, including group health, wellness initiatives and retirement programs.



  • Assist in regular administration of the plans
  • Act as the benefits liaison for our associates on our group health plans including medical, dental, vision, disability and health and wellness initiatives
  • Supports a comprehensive benefits package to meet the needs of a changing workforce
  • Support, implement and monitor the health and wellness programs company wide
  • Provides ongoing support for associates on leaves of absence, including short term disability, FMLA absences, workers compensation and PODS Personal Leaves of Absence
  • Supports and coordinates the planning, development, and communication mediums of benefit material for employees
  • Advise management of potential benefits administration issues and work to resolve accordingly
  • Build relationships with health and retirement plan providers and our internal associates
  • Assisting employees on a day to day basis with benefit questions and concerns
  • Coordinating benefit and retirement plan enrollments
  • Completes timely filing of benefit documents
  • Review vendor invoices, resolving disputes, and reporting on fees and costs
  • Administrator of the associate benefits through various systems resources according to their selections, ensure properly captured in each system and reconciled against payroll system to ensure properly allocated. Research/resolve any discrepancies
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s): Benefits Supervisor
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)


Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources and/or benefits administration required
  • Preferably UKG or Kronos experience
  • Knowledge of HIPAA required
  • Proficient in excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required
  • ADP experience preferred
  • Experience with presentational speaking and event planning preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience accepted


  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device


  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: 0-5%
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • May be subject to  pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
