Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for development and optimization of Learning & Talent department’s online resources, including but not limited to, learning modules, blended learning, performance management system tools and processes, the Learning Management System (LMS), company intranet and online support of these systems. In addition, this individual will lead the development of ways PODS can more innovatively leverage their online systems to optimize utilization of learning available and the ease with which it is accessed, including mobile.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as web developer for all eLearning courses and training resources, utilizing eLearning software tools inclusive of animation, gamification or simulation activities for interactive learning.
  • Oversees administration and operation of Learning Management System (LMS), inclusive of learning course materials, performance management process, access and permissions and all reporting related to the system.
  • Collaborates with Manager, Technology Training, on general approach for managing the LMS, including things like deploying the system to new audiences, or implementing new features.
  • Develops a deep understanding of client programs and builds relationships with clients to serve as a primary point of contact for LMS and intranet related questions and requests.
  • Performs the upload of course materials, configuration of functionality such as complex curricula, communications, surveys, reports, notifications, and performs testing to ensure programs function properly once launched, for learning programs ranging from simple to complex.
  • Performs all activities related to SharePoint, including lists, workflows, groups, permissions and security, reporting capabilities, custom web parts and web services.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business unit stakeholders to design and implement learning and/or support programs to drive employees’ performance both for new hires and ongoing development.
  • Consult, design, and develop performance initiatives and tasks, including but not limited to appraisals, 360 surveys, competency assessments, and development plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate learning programs to ensure quality and effectiveness, and recommend enhancements to attain the expected learning outcomes.
  • Develop learning and talent development programs using blended learning formats.
  • Remains current with industry systems and capabilities, and make recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and improve systems and processes in support of learning and development initiatives and strategy.
  • Determine and recommend process improvement solutions for department.
  • Organize graphic and assorted media assets for incorporation into learning and performance support, including presentations, eLearning, illustrations, simulations, videos, job aids, handouts, animations, and user interfaces.

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other degree with equivalent experience, ideally in the HR Learning arena (Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education).
  • Experience with SharePoint lists, workflows, groups, permissions and security, reporting capabilities, custom web parts and web services.
  • Cornerstone OnDemand: 2 years (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years Web development/design experience is required
  • Strong proficiency in Web Development, LMS Administration
  • Expert skill level in Microsoft SharePoint, Cornerstone OnDemand, Adobe Web Development tools, e-Learning Course Authoring Software (Articulate 360, Camtasia)

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: As needed
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours. May be subjected to inclement seasonal weather conditions if position calls for working in a warehouse or factory environment, or traveling to/from various locations
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
