Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the assembly and of and repair of containers.  Ensures production goals are met in a safe workplace while maintaining high quality that meets brand standards. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversight of assembly and repair staff to set expectations and ensure production and quality goals are met
  • Implement training and quality control procedures for repair location
  • Train staff and temporary or seasonal workers
  • Monitors performance of all processes; observing control points, quality control and equipment
  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning resources to align with needs of business
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Report all daily production; provide summary report to management
  • Establish and complete inventory control processes
  • Coordinate special products to include R&D for new products and /or modifications to current products to meet the needs of the business
  • Assist in talent acquisition by recruiting, selecting and training employees
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Typically reports to Management.  Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include:  Dir - Parts and Services
  • Job is directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).  Job title example(s) of employees directly supervised: Welder, Welder II, Welder III, Lead – Assembly Line

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Must possess valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.; The employee is occasionally required to crouch or crawl
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Ability to unload delivery trucks when required and move/confirm material is secured and stored in designated locations
  • Regularly required to sit; Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; Reach with hands and arms and talk and hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours.  Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements:  Some
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours. May be subjected to inclement seasonal weather conditions if position calls for working in a warehouse or factory environment, or traveling to/from various locations
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • May be subject to  pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
