Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for senior level contribution to the Product Owner group, including vision, scope, design and execution of enterprise software solutions. Works with all levels of business operations and information technology groups to develop and execute the strategic product roadmap. Responsible for all product planning and development through collaborative engagement between IT Development and business stakeholders.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ownership of the product roadmap, aligning strategic objectives/goals to business needs.

  • Design Development and Delivery of solutions through collaboration with Business Operations and IT Leaders/Stakeholders.

  • Documentation of scope and user stories to guide Agile development efforts. Attends daily SCRUM stand-ups.

  • Communicates progress of sprints/releases in respect to schedule forecast, and risk. Escalates risk through proper channels to resolution.

  • Functions as SME with respect to solution effectiveness, risk, and ROI.

  • Works with business to define business process workflows and process mapping.

  • Responsible for adherence to Agile development methodology.

  • Business Analysis functions, working with cross functional teams to implement enterprise solutions.

  • Development and ownership of measure used to define product solution success.

  • Develops and implements internal strategies to foster collaborative and effective interaction throughout the product/solution development and delivery process.

  • Prioritizes competing product opportunities to align with business needs and priorities and communicates as to most effective and rational approach.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Typically reports to Management.  Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Sr Manager, IT Product Ownership

  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

 

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Information Systems.

  • 5+ years’ experience with development of product strategy and delivery.

  • Ideal candidates would be competent in: Developing product vision aligned with business strategy. Managing the relationship with business stakeholders and ensuring their software capability needs are met.

  • Expertise in Agile product owner role and responsibilities.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

     

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor

  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

     

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours.  Some additional hours may be required.

  • Travel requirements:  Negligible

  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.

  • May be subject to  pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
