JOB SUMMARY

Directs the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure IT programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Develops and implements PMO governance processes, policies and procedures including Agile SCRUM methodologies.  Manages, mentors and develops a high performing team of Project Managers and SCRM Masters.  Works closely with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and lead PMO Governance by designing and implementing PODS project management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects
  • Oversees the IT portfolio and resource allocation efforts to ensure proper staffing, funding, scope alignment – providing a holistic view of all organizational project activity
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated
  • Define business strategies and organizational policies to enable the strategic coordination of multiple major projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of projects
  • Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders, assess cross-functional project team capability, providing coaching, training and support to improve collaborative development and project results
  • Works with all business areas, corporate functions and IT Leadership to help ensure the successful management and execution of key projects
  • Defines and develops Agile SCRUM methodologies and practices and helps support ongoing training and buy-in across IT and the Business
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve complex issues and exercise strong judgement to manage competing priorities with diplomacy and flexibility while keeping a strong attention to timelines and expected results.
  • Keeps abreast of new technology, PMO practices and regularly collaborates with peers to ensure understanding of current trends to update and improve IT execution practices.
  • Achieving cooperation, compliance and engagement in the value of a PMO function in an environment of diverse interests and opinions
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Program/Project Management.
  • 5+ years leading Program Management teams.
  • Experience with large enterprise level programs including implementation of ERP solutions.
  • Experience with the Microsoft platform (.NET, D365, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with DevOps implementations and/or existing DevOps environments
  • Strong experience with software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong experience with Agile and Traditional (Waterfall) project management methodologies
  • Knowledgeable in current technology and industry trends.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into easily understandable concepts.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Have an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
