Job Description


The Sr. Manager of E-Commerce Sales will lead PODS e-commerce programs and initiatives with the primary focus of creating an excellent consumer experience and growing online revenue. 



  • Establish and lead the overall e-commerce strategy to meet business goals
  • Establish and manage the day-to-day operations of e-commerce activity
  • Establish a strategy and manage the A/B testing plan in-order to improve engagement and funnel conversion.  Ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of A/B testing, split testing, multi-variant testing concepts and the ability to apply and execute these tactics.
  • Establish a strategy and manage a personalization strategy in-order to build custom web experiences for our customers.
  • Ownership and management of the online customer experience including design and aesthetics, content navigation, information architecture, branding/marketing, performance and functionality all too positively impact eCommerce efforts.
  • Understanding of User Centered Design principles, usability testing, and the ability to direct UX and creative designers from prototyping, wireframing to final designs.
  • Candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Manager of SEO, Creative, Branding, Social, Paid Media and Technical Development teams. Candidate must be able to provide outstanding customer service skills that drive collaboration and productivity.
  • Ideal candidate must provide leadership, innovation and process improvement.
  • Ability to specify technical changes to technical/development teams
  • Experience with web analytics tools
  • Experience using a CMS
  • Candidate will develop and own KPIs such as click through rate, conversion, engagement and funnel conversion.
  • Provide web analytics, reports and insights to organization in-order to make actionable recommendations. Continuously monitor daily/weekly/quarterly reporting of key performance indicators
  • Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Stay on top of changing digital behaviors and trends, and provide creative, strategic inspiration



  • Reports to the Director, Digital Marketing
  • Candidate will have direct report(s) including Analyst I – Digital Marketing


Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or Business
  • 7-10 year’s relevant e-commerce experience
  • Experience in A/B Testing and Personalization tactics
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel software skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in e-commerce tools such as Google Analytics, Clicktale, or similar products.
  • Experience in Sitecore, Wordpress or other content management and website products preferred but not required
  • Possess solid project management experience and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device


  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Negligible
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy.
