JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for management of the Enterprise Data Systems, including design, development and maintenance of the data platforms, solutions architecture and delivery. Responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to implement & manage a next Generation Data Platform, operational data sources and solutions to provide insights into business performance, building enterprise class data Integration solutions  and creating policies and procedures to support functional infrastructure. Manages a team of Data engineers and Database Administrators responsible for building solutions which are flexible, performant and scalable. Must have in-depth knowledge of data management and data integration

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage existing data resources, implement a next gen data platform to further enable decision making, as well as help drive scalable data sharing practices
• Collaborate with multiple teams, understand the overall enterprise Data Architecture and execute on delivering a Next Gen Data Warehouse and other critical Data Engineering capabilities.
• Mentor and manage ETL Engineers, Data analysts and database administrators and ensure that data engineering best practices are being followed
• Expectation is that the manager is very technical and has a breadth of experience in various Data initiatives.
• Work with all business areas, corporate functions and IT Leadership for driving the data management solutions that provide for insights into performance and business growth objectives as well as cost saving opportunities and efficiencies.
• Design and develop highly scalable, efficient and reliable data infrastructure to scale and compute to meet business objectives.
• Provides leadership and management for resources and tools that provide business reporting, solution strategy for information delivery, data administration, data acquisition/integration, analytics, and data management on an enterprise level.
• Develop technical best practices for data movement, data quality, MDM, data cleansing and other ETL activities.
• Effective leadership skills and ability to build strong customer relationships
• Leads simultaneous initiatives; coordinates the development of IT plans, projects and processes.
• Ensures that the organization achieves returns on investments in analytics that meet or exceed the needs of the business.
• Works with stakeholders to manage delivery and lead teams of data engineering resources in the design and delivery of information systems solutions.
• Assists in leveraging data as an asset throughout the organization.
• Focuses on workforce development and ensure that a strong team is built.
• Collaborates with peers to ensure understanding of current technology trends and implement new solutions. Direct analysis, development, implementation and support of data and analytics functions. Design and deployment of data extraction, ETL, SQL queries, stored procedures, OLAP cubes etc.
• Responsible for advancing data architecture, database model and load processes.
