Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Manage the implementation, monitoring and performance of email, marketing automation, and CRM platforms, campaigns and related technologies. Build and constantly improve the company’s email marketing strategy and tactics for nurture campaigns for prospects and transactional emails for customers.  Develop strategies for testing and measuring email campaigns in collaboration with market segment managers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up, testing, execution and reporting for demand generation and lead management including nurturing, scoring and routing.
  • Create emails, landing pages, forms and reports within email platforms.
  • Manage A|B tests, and continuously optimize email templates and campaigns.
  • Construct views and dashboards for campaigns, leads, prospects, opportunities, and pipeline activities in CRM.
  • Assist with new technologies including defining requirements, vendor analysis, selection, on-boarding and implementation as needed.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business analysis and reporting.
  • Trouble shooting and support of platforms including management of 3rd party support services.
  • Manage Implementation of SugarCRM platform including relevant integrations.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: VP - Marketing
  • Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technology field and at least 7 years of experience implementing or managing relevant platforms.
  • Should be familiar with a variety of industry platforms and have knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in Email Automation and working knowledge of CRM integration and functionality.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Experience with Marketo required
  • Experience with at least one major CRM platform required (SugarCRM preferred)
  • Experience with Email Marketing required (ExactTarget/Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
  • Experience integrating marketing applications with enterprise applications and 3rd party connectors
  • Experience developing and documenting workflows, data maps, business processes, and user guides
  • Understanding of SAAS platform databases
  • Know how to:
    • Build/code HTML emails
    • Create and automate trigger-based, sequenced, and ad-hoc campaigns
    • Read and understand support documentation to identify and implement solutions
    • Create and modify lead scoring rules
    • Monitor and manage platform databases including hygiene and size
    • Ensure that emails and landing pages are properly formatted for a variety of email clients, browsers, and mobile devices
    • Develop and format content to support campaign efforts as needed
    • Perform A/B testing to optimize open, click, and conversion rates
    • Build landing pages and email content for time-sensitive campaigns
    • Analyze data
    • Manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Negligible
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
