JOB SUMMARY

PODS Moving and Storage is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, creative thinker to fill a role as a Software Engineer II for the PODS MarCom department.  The ideal candidate should have a clear understanding of modern web technologies revolving around .NET MVC web development.  The code written by the team this engineer will be a part of will be delivered to millions of potential/existing customers and partners, and should be written with consideration for Accessibility, Ease-of-Use, and SEO at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining existing website code via regular enhancements or bug fixes.
  • Maintaining existing supplementary applications used by the website such as API’s and Microsites.
  • Working closely with rest of development team in pursuit of creative solutions for business problems.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years HTML5/CSS3
  • Minimum of 4 years JavaScript
  • Minimum of 3 years C#
  • Minimum of 3 years using Microsoft’s .NET Development Platform
  • Minimum of 2 years using Microsoft’s ASP.NET MVC Design Pattern
  • Minimum of 2 years SASS and/or LESS
  • Minimum of 3 years using object-oriented analysis and design principles
  • Experience with Sitecore or any similar enterprise-level CMS is a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft’s SQL Server database tools a plus
  • Experience with SEO friendly development is a plus
  • Proven track record of being flexible and creative to adapt to environments where functional and business objectives evolve and change rapidly
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties 
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
