JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading the development and execution of software test plans to ensure that Software Development projects result in quality programs provided to the company business community. Leads team in growing their skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the evaluation and testing of software programs to verify that such programs function according to specifications and standards. Also responsible for developing and documenting test protocols and scripts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees the sourcing and implementation of automated software testing tools
  • Provides guidance, direction, and oversight to entire QA test team
  • Tracks and reports incidents during all phases of testing
  • Develop protocols and scripts for regression testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing phases
  • Documents all testing protocols and scripts
  • Executes regression testing on all application releases
  • Works with the Software Development team to test all new features for existing applications
  • Works with the user community to perform user acceptance testing
  • Completes performance appraisals and disciplinary actions for QA analysts
  • Contributes to development of and report on QA metrics
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Job is directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).  Job title example(s) of employees directly supervised: IT Quality Assurance Analysts

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field required
  • 5-8 years experience in the MIS or Information Technology field, including at least 2 years a leadership capacity, including task assignment and resource planning in conjunction with management
  • Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies, especially Waterfall & Agile
  • Experience using and developing test cases with automated testing tools, preferably Microsoft Visual Studio Test Manager
  • Experience with change control processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2003/2007
  • Proficiency with Team Foundation Server
  • Proficiency with automated testing tools
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
