Job Description

PODS Enterprises LLC, a leader in the moving and storage industry, is currently seeking a Field Marketing Manager to work out of our corporate headquarters in Clearwater, Florida.

The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing field marketing support and delivering demand generation and order growth in PODS 70+ company-owned markets. The position develops media strategies and localizing system-wide marketing plans, aligning the franchisees and company operators against them, and leading the execution of those programs through media agencies and the field support group.  Additionally, the Field Marketing Manager will develop and manage processes that ensure long-term growth and relevance for PODS corporate owned locations.


  • Provides day-to-day direction to our Agency Partners and serves as a key marketing support arm to PODS Corporate Operations team working cross functionally with Corporate Operations, Revenue Management, Finance and the Sales and Service Center support teams
  • Develops and implements marketing systems and processes that ensure sustainable demand generation for all Corporate locations
  • Provides strategic direction and leadership for all market level media planning for the system to ensure market media plans are delivering against the annual operating plan and continue to drive media diversification to ensure brand remains relevant across multiple channels with core target audience
  • Working with Revenue Management and Finance to develop and execute a promotional calendar and delivers growth via execution of system wide and market level promotions annually, securing system participation
  • Builds and sustains systems and processes to enable field team to provide strategic direction at the market level based on market level conditions and data
  • Aligns with the Director of Marketing Communications to ensure the field strategy supports the overall strategy and ensures the organization stays abreast of any topical local marketplace conditions
  • Reacts to market conditions and builds offensive/defensive marketing recommendations that fully exploit market differences and opportunities
  • Manages strategic direction for all facets of traditional and non-traditional media for the Corporate Operations marketing budget including strategy development, planning, buying, flow chart management, and the post buy process through management of planning and buying agencies
  • Oversees Media Testing execution working with the Director of Marketing Communications to deploy an annual Media Test Calendar and ensures measurement of all tests working with analyst team
  • Makes sure communication is flowing between Field Team and all necessary Corporate Operations departments to ensure flawless execution
  • Ensures franchisees are spending and participating in effective advertising initiatives and drives development of programs and systems to insure system growth
  • Builds systems and opt-in local marketing activities to garner system marketing participation
  • Leads strategy for all Corporate Market Acquisitions to ensure marketing helps drive and deliver against market operating plans
  • Ensures all field marketing needs are being met by the Field Marketing Team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, preferably field marketing
  • 5+ years of experience with media oversight including traditional, digital and hyper local tactical management and execution
  • 5+ years of experience in project and/or account management and/or management of an in-house and outsourced team.
  • Expertise in analyzing large volumes of data and making key business decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Agency management experience is extremely helpful
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting critical deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
