Job Description

PODS Enterprises LLC, a leader in the moving and storage industry, is currently seeking a Director of Talent and Learning to join our corporate headquarters in Clearwater, Florida.

The Director of Talent and Learning will oversee PODS’ talent management, performance management and learning management.  This role will focus on helping PODS build its leadership pipeline, identifying innovative ways to enhance and improve associate performance, creating a sustaining culture focused on delivering results through passion, collaboration and performance.  The Director will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of leadership, talent and organizational development programs and initiatives to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives. The individual is expected to anticipate emerging learning and engagement trends and proactively create programs to help address the needs of our associates and leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define, develop and facilitate a comprehensive organization learning strategy and related plans to meet business priorities.
  • Create standards related to assessment, curriculum design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Develop and drive a leadership development approach that identifies and prepares leadership for current and future organizational needs, including succession management.
  • Define, implement and facilitate organization’s performance systems, processes and tools, including objective setting performance reviews, feedback planning and performance coaching/mentoring.
  • Facilitate the talent management review process including regular talent discussions focused on building leadership and organizational capability.
  • Build and execute PODS talent roadmap: partner with the leadership team and all levels of the organization to execute near and long-term talent strategies
  • Build a culture of learning and continuous feedback: Ensure that developmentally focused conversations are taking place throughout the entire organization.  Work to deliver programs, tools and experiences that engage and inspire our team at all levels and that drive a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Manage the instructional design process to develop learning solutions for a variety of subjects and functions.
  • Ongoing ownership for the identification and implementation of learning technologies to include but not limited to: authoring tools, development software, LMS, gamification, and video software.
  • Develop and/or maintain learning materials for classroom, online delivery, self-study and performance support by implementing instructional design techniques and adult learning methods
  • Develop and/or maintain competencies, career paths and gaps in learning with development plans
  • Integrate L&D initiatives into succession plans, career paths and talent management programs
  • Lead the end to end performance management process including the alignment and communication of organizational goals, departmental priorities and individual performance expectations.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Organizational Development, Adult Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience in talent management, performance management and learning management
  • Minimum of 3 years leading a talent program and or learning function and team
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Adult Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources or related field
  • Expert knowledge of leadership and management development concepts, models, tools, programs/suppliers and learning methodologies
  • Possess and apply strong knowledge base in organizational capability development, adult and organizational learning theory, instructional design, and technology to the selection and design of appropriate learning solutions
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate capabilities as a Leadership Coach, Performance Consultant, and Talent Director
  • Strong consultative and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Track record of designing and implementing talent management programs and processes
  • Must be fully proficient in change management strategy and execution for large-scale change initiatives
  • The candidate should possess exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, strong mentoring and coaching skills, as well as project management skills.
