JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead the recruiting team.  This person will report to the SVP HR and have direct responsibility for the success of our recruiting efforts.  We’re looking for someone to deliver a great candidate experience, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice and enjoy the challenge of building and developing a great organization of talented individuals.

You will be responsible for managing and facilitating the entire recruiting process.  Develop and execute on innovative sourcing strategies.  Take a data driven approach to develop goals, validate your activities and measure success, as well as those of your direct reports.  Manage a team of recruiters.  Implement a new ATS that is aligned to a new HCM system. Be an advocate for the candidate and deliver a world-class candidate experience.  Track all recruiting activities in our ATS and providing candidate status in a weekly report.  Build strong relationships with candidates, the Talent Acquisition team, HRBPs and business partners.  Personally responsible for hiring Director level and above jobs.  Successfully evaluate candidates using behavioral interviewing techniques and providing scorecards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, organize, and implement innovative and scalable recruiting strategies and solutions that enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
  • Develop and implement strategic recruiting plans in alignment with corporate objectives. Meet full cycle – source and recruit for SSC agents and driver hiring goals to meet seasonal business needs.
  • Implemented a new ATS in conjunction with HCM system
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate talent market expertise including comprehensive external view of industry trends and competitors and how PODS relates
  • Evaluate and redesign processes to ensure positive candidate experience, interview management, competency alignment, process improvement and automation on an ongoing basis
  • Deliver business results through the establishment of key metrics and reporting measures that ensure accountability and process compliance via pre-determined SLAs
  • Develop, monitor and report KPIs and objectives, and execute against annual operational plan
  • Mentor, train, coach the team to maintain optimal individual and team performance
  • Oversee maintenance of talent pipelines with potential candidates and past applicants for future staffing needs
  • Create department budget and achieve budgeted financial performance, in addition to measuring and monitoring department SLAs for effectiveness, timelines, candidate quality, delivery of recruitment services and applicant/hiring manager satisfaction
  • Develop and communicate the value proposition for associates and applicants
  • Partner with HRBPs to help write job descriptions and post appropriately
  • Develop recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral to attract applicants and to fill specific job openings
  • Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Screen and refer managerial candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization
  • Develop recruitment collateral, such as brochures about the organization and its opportunities
  • Coordinate internal job posting program and write job postings
  • Make public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities – includes Internship program and/or job fairs.
  • Perform reference and background checks on applicants and where applicable utilize testing
  • Conduct regular follow up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation; Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: SVP, Human Resources
  • Job is directly responsible for managing other associates (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management). Job title example(s) of associates directly supervised: Coord/Recruiter - Seasonal Recruitment,  Recruiter I – HR, Recruiter II – HR, Recruiter III – HR, Recruiting Supervisor(s)

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • We’re looking for someone with Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred. 
  • 8-10 years of overall experience recruiting services, and 3-5 years supervisory or managerial experience. 
  • Prior experience with various recruiting platforms, ideally Linked In, Indeed/Career Builder and advanced experience with different technology related to recruiting – apps, websites, social media platforms.
  • Prior experience creating a strategic, innovative and analytical approach to managing recruitment and initiatives that meet and or exceed business expectations.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting programs, systems and processes. 
  • Superb customer focus, attention to detail and organizational skills and prefers to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment.
  • It’s a plus if you have a professional recruiter certification or any certification aligned to recruiting as well as the SPHR. 
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours.  Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements:  Negligible
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • May be subject to  pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
