Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for being an integral part of building, maintaining, and launching all company digital assets from websites to apps to landing pages and every digital asset in between. The QA analyst will make sure that they function and appear perfectly across devices and browsers. Responsible for leading the management and prioritization of bugs, improvements, and other code changes and will work closely with our development team to implement them. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with developers to manually test websites, apps, landing pages, A/B tests, and other digital assets
  • Participate with End to End Testing with cross development and QA teams
  • Develop and document requirements & test cases, and test against those requirements
  • Lead QA efforts to develop process, priority, and plans of attack for bugs and feature improvements
  • Provide regular assessments of website and app health (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)
  • Keep on top of the latest browser and operating system updates and check for regressions
  • Forecast and report potential delays in deliverables or product weaknesses
  • Manage bug tracking and reporting
  • Evangelize the discipline of QA throughout the organization & coordinate QA collaboration with IT
  • Work closely across departments to ensure all requirements are captured and tested
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • BS or BA degree
  • 6-8 years of experience working in QA with websites, apps, and digital assets
  • Understanding of security, browser, and performance testing
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC principles and QA methodologies
  • Basic understanding of HTML, .NET and C# (no coding, just troubleshooting)
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket or similar for testing and reporting
  • Knowledge of TFS and Rigor website monitoring tool or similar preferred but not required
  • Previous experience building a QA discipline
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Use and understanding of automation technologies preferred but not required
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate. Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Minimum, as required
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
