Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for creating auction notices, ads, auction flyers, mailing of all auction notices, scanning all auction related documentation to customer accounts, and maintaining detailed records. This position will be responsible for working directly with the collectors to ensure that all auction related items are completed by the scheduled deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation of all Auction Notices pursuant to each state specific statute
  • Creation of invoices related to Auctions in PODS proprietary software system
  • Mailing of Auction Notices to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
  • Creation and submission of Auction Ads as required pursuant to each state statute
  • Maintain detailed documentation in connection to Auctions
  • Creation and submission of Auction folders to management for review
  • Maintain detailed documentation and videos received from locations performing auctions
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required  
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management.  Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: AR Auctions Manager
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.); or two years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • General knowledge of basic math skills, ability to calculate percentages
  • Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Excellent command of the English language, good use of grammar skills. Bilingual skills helpful
  • Typing skills and PC proficiency with knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, sufficient to create documents, spreadsheets and communicate via email
  • Knowledge of and ability to use PODS proprietary software, or willingness to learn in a timely manner
  • Possess multi-tasking, planning, organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to complete the job in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain a positive and respectful demeanor with customers, co-workers and management at all times
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test, and random drug testing in compliance with company policy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate. Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor.
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours.  Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements:  Negligible
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
