JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the general assembly of a Podzilla lift frame in a factory location designed for the production of company lifts.  The primary task is manual labor and Mig welding of metal frames in an assembly environment requiring medium lifting and physical abilities while completing welding of frames.  The employee is under direct supervision at all times and completes repetitive tasks as defined in manufacturing process. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other material by applying appropriate welding techniques
  • Performs repetitive workstation welding assembly operations to mass-produce PODS lifts.
  • Perform any assembly-type function using hand, and/or power and welding tools
  • Operate clamps to secure metal in preparation of welding
  • Perform fabricator-related work
  • Operate forklift as required
  • Operate any equipment required to perform the job
  • Perform related duties as instructed by supervisor
  • Communicate to supervisor daily regarding personnel concerns, safety concerns and reports all accidents and damages
  • Follow all policies and procedures for safety regulations including adherence to OSHA regulations
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years prior welding experience
  • Ability to recognize changes in power equipment that may indicate failure or recognize unsafe work conditions
  • Ability to remain alert to surroundings to avoid work hazards
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties; Ability to apply these skills to units of American weight measurement, volume and distance
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
