Job Description


Responsible for the analysis of business needs to identify business problems and propose appropriate software solutions, especially the ability to support and manage business analysis for complex, high-profile, or enterprise-level projects.



  • Analyze business processes and software change requests to determine system requirements
  • Collaborate with business representatives to develop complete and comprehensive requirements for applications and systems
  • Stay abreast of new and future business needs and track and report impact of changes to interdependent systems
  • Develop and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrices for each software change requests
  • Create programming specifications from the business needs analyses
  • Feed suggestions for improving workflows into the business community
  • Ability to handle new business domains with confidence
  • Lead and mentor other business analysts in the organization
  • Provide application support as needed
  • Use reporting tools to perform ad hoc data analyses as needed to support business cases
  • Work with the QA Lead to develop the testing protocols and documents
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Sr IT Manager and IT Director             
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Business Administration
  • 6-8 years required of prior experience in the role of a business analyst
  • 1+ years’ experience in a Senior business analyst role
  • Strong experience with SDLC
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Team Foundation Server
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience


  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; Ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device


  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Negligible
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
