JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Reporting Senior Associate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of the financial results and deliverables for both internal and external reporting. This position will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation and submission of certain deliverables for external audits and bank reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the preparation of the Company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for both internal and external purposes
- Assist with the preparation of the Company’s consolidated financial statements and subsidiary statutory audit reports
- Coordinate information requests and prepare supporting documentation and analyses to support the financial statements and footnote disclosures, including disclosure checklists and tie-out binders
- Assist with monitoring and ensuring timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance and provide US GAAP interpretation
- Evaluate and apply accounting standards to new transactions as assigned. Prepare memos to document accounting conclusions
- Perform monthly variance analysis of changes in balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Continuously assess financial reporting process for improvements
- Assist with acquisition accounting set-up in the general ledger system
- Assist with research and preparation of technical accounting memos and working with third-party consultants
- Assist with determining impact of upcoming and potential accounting and regulatory changes and proactively prepare the organization
- Assist with developing and revising accounting policies
- Assist with month-end close to ensure the quality and timeliness of the monthly financial deliverables
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures including journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations as assigned
- Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)
