JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of SEO will be responsible for building and maintaining in-house SEO demand. In addition, the manager role will be responsible for creating and driving collaboration with the internal residential marketing team, and outside SEO agencies on the creation of a comprehensive SEO strategy.  Candidate will utilize the SEO landscape to protect branded searches as well as drive incremental demand through non-branded tactics.  In addition, in collaboration with media, content, development and outside SEO agencies, candidate will manage the tactical execution of the SEO strategy.  The SEO Manager will be responsible for building SEO KPIs and reporting on progress.  This position is both team oriented and independent driven.  The ideal candidate should possess the skills sets to be a self-starter while also collaborating well with supporting team members.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content and SEO program management: Improve online SEO presence through KPIs, web UX, keyword research, targeted CTAs, landing page creation
  • Oversee management and execution of digital content optimization in conjunction with proofreading, editing, and optimizing for SEO
  • Oversee the building and updating company website and blog pages to increase organic web traffic and conversion by aligning and implementing web and social strategies
  • KPI reporting: analysis and reporting against key performance indicators to make strategic recommendations as to how a brand should evolve their organic presence.
  • Analyze and reported web success to make data-driven decisions
  • Produce weekly traffic and channel reports noting web trends and provide assessments and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the paid media team on building comprehensive paid/organic strategy
  • Link Building: work with the content, social and referral teams on building a comprehensive link building program
  • Trend monitoring: keeps up to date with the latest news, events, technical developments and features, and trends relating to the SEO space, as well as what our competitors are doing in the digital space
  • Adapts strategy based on the changing SEO landscape.
  • Perform keyword research and competitor analysis
  • Technical SEO: work with the development team to prioritize and manage the technical aspects of SEO such as page speed, markup schema, tag management, image optimization, etc. to ensure best-in-class technical performance.
  • Data management: experience conducting data-driven SEO site audits and familiarity with SEO optimization tools, such as Brightedge, Google Keyword Planner, Majestic, Moz, etc.
  • Testing: assist in A/B execution and testing analysis
  • Implement on-page SEO including content optimization, meta-data optimization, and site architecture
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, from start to completion, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes.
  • Team Building: Responsible for building an in-house SEO competency

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or Business
  • 5+ year’s relevant SEO digital marketing experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel software skills
  • Experience in Sitecore, Wordpress or other content management and website products preferred
  • Possess solid project management experience and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong content creation a plus
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
