JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Revenue Data Analytics will lead and guide analytic roadmaps and activities related to demand planning, segmentation, pricing analytics and revenue optimization, and continually partner cross-functionally to ensure relevant and accurate performance data, metrics, reports and tools are in place to facilitate management of our business, improve revenue performance and maximize asset utilization. 

 

This teammate will lead the development of analytics tools and systems for sharing reports and dashboards across multiple areas of the organization, helping ensure consistency in the definition of metrics to analyze the business. The individual will be working in close partnership with IT in the design and creation of the future semantic data infrastructure including data lake and data warehouse, representing the business side of commercial and operating departments. 

 

Finally, this individual will work closely with leadership as well as internal/external stakeholders to gain a mastery of the business; facilitate shared learning, coach and develop analytics talent, and ensure business implications of insights are understood and actioned.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define revenue and asset utilization data and metrics needed to improve business management.
  • Support and inform operational reporting needs of cross-functional partners (both internal and external) and ensure teams are executing off the single source of truth.
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Sales/Service and Finance to ensure alignment on data definitions, interpretation, and consistent presentation. 
  • Work alongside IT in the design and architecture of the data warehouses needed to meet business needs. Be the liaison between commercial/operating functions and IT regarding Data, Data quality, Data governance. 
  • Lead the strategy for developing shared tools and reports to be used across multiple user groups.
  • Assist senior management in defining and managing the analytical agenda in support of revenue and profitability performance with a focus on the pricing quality, revenue optimization, and asset utilization; improvements in measurement; identification of key drivers of the revenue performance; and risk and opportunity assessment. 
  • Develop and maintain needed infrastructure to ensure availability of data and tools.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • BS degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, quantitative marketing, statistics, operations research or mathematics, MBA is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience performing marketing or business analysis in pricing, sales, or revenue management function, preferably in a fixed asset intensive industry such as Hospitality, Travel, Cargo Transportation, or in an Analytics Consulting role.
  • Demonstrated Experience working with large transactional data in cloud or SQL environments using advanced SAS, SQL, Python, or R skills
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence reporting and development using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, etc.
  • A positive team player with the ability to communicate effectively, influence cross-functionally and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries is required
  • Extensive data interpretation experience with the ability to communicate insights and findings to senior management and external partners in a clear, compelling way
  • Ability to see the big picture and “tell the story” behind the data to drive consensus and action
  • Understands the strategic levers of the business and how analytics is a catalyst for decision making
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to put structure around vague and unstructured requests/discussions
  • Can solve problems in complex situations using creative and conceptual reasoning
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to influence and expedite the decision-making process
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and demonstrated ability to mentor and develop less experienced analytics team members
