As Innovation Program Manager, you will play a key role in PODS’ transformation by developing, organizing, managing, executing, and transitioning programs through pilot phases into enterprise implementation, while working alongside senior leaders, cross-functional teams, disruptive external companies, external partners, and universities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage programs and projects across multi-functional groups such as IT, digital, marketing, operations, sales & service and senior management
  • Develop pilot/MVP strategies and drive negotiations in line with PODS’ long-term strategic goals
  • Apply design thinking principles to programs and projects
  • Manage defining project goals, KPIs, and success factors
  • Handle multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changes in priorities
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of people and skill levels
  • Develop effective relationships with key program stakeholders
  • Prepare communications regarding resourcing, time budgeting, and overall program and project status
  • Present post-pilot analyses and enterprise adoption plans for senior leadership that focuses on showcasing value delivered, lessons learned, and the value/path towards a larger scale implementation (if applicable)
  • Work within agile/scrum environments to deliver value iteratively
  • Be comfortable managing early-stage, loosely defined programs and projects

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Senior Manager - Strategy and Innovation 
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field; or equivalent education/experience
  • 6-8 years’ experience as a project, program, product manager or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with scrum and the principles of Agile development
  • Excellent communication and group facilitation skills including the ability to tailor communications to differing audiences – from technical teams through executives
  • Proven track record of applying business acumen to bring actionable project plans to completion
  • Proven ability to lead and champion new, disruptive initiatives
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
  • Detail-orientated
  • MBA Preferred
