JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Technical Manager will play a vital role in PODS digital customer experience transformation. We are looking for a proactive individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform, gathering requirements and feedback and designing ‘right sized’ solutions.   We truly value the user experience for our SalesForce audience, therefore as the Senior Technical Manager, you should be passionate about all aspects of user management including designing solutions with customer/user experience and satisfaction a priority.  In this role, you will manage other team members and at times will function as a technical practitioner for the more complex activities.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the face of the SalesForce platform to the business
  • Overall management of the platform and collaboration with multiple technology teams
  • Manage the SalesForce roadmap and plan future initiatives
  • Manage platform changes
  • Oversee delegated tasks 
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Manage partnerships with key SF third party partners
  • Manage and mature the process for onboard/offboarding new users
  • Architect and build complex workflows
  • Architect and build custom solutions when necessary (Apex)
  • Manage testing and implementation
  • Maintain quality solutions across the platforms
  • Working in collaboration with business leaders, develop technical solutions and roadmaps
  • Ensure quality technical documentation is developed/maintained
  • Manage and monitor releases and defect remediation

 

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Director, Digital Engineering 
  • Job is directly responsible for managing other associates 

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience).
  • 6-9 years of hands on experience building business solutions in SalesForce (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud)
  • Background in transportation or hospitality type industry is a plus.
  • SalesForce Administrator and Developer certifications are preferred.
  • Professional certification in agile methodologies is preferred.
