Job Description


The Mgr II – Media Strategy will provide strategy and thought leadership in the development of 360 degree integrated media plans to achieve revenue growth for PODS. This role will partner with the broader media team, the brand team, the consumer research team and external agency partners to coordinate audience-led acquisition strategies – reaching target customers through the most efficient channels. He/she will also bring a highly analytical background with an in-depth knowledge of precision media leveraging 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data.



  • Together with rest of the media team, leads holistic and integrated media strategy development, identifying the most efficient channels to acquire target customers 
  • In partnership with Brand team and Customer Research team, owns audience identification and development – identifying PODS target customer within media partner/channel audience segments and aligns audience segments across platforms/channels
  • Improves the performance of media by determining how to expand reach and penetration of target audiences – optimizing efforts across all media channels/partners
  • Work closely with Media and Analytics team to build media attribution to business performance – matching audience targeting efforts and customer orders to media tactics
  • Partners with Brand team to lead development of holistic media plans and support for new campaigns and initiatives
  • Partners with CRM team to integrate and align audience targeting, UTM taxonomy and efficient retargeting efforts – enhancing media and CRM performance
  • Leads Development of a roadmap of test-and-learn initiatives – identifying new media channels, partners and assets to leverage in reaching customers
  • Maintains a deep and thorough knowledge of new and emerging media products and services, including on-going changes to protect consumer’s privacy
  • Work cross functionally with the eCommerce team, creative, brand, Corporate Ops marketing team and others to create, implement and optimize integrated campaigns (including landing pages) that deliver against business goals 
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising, finance or related Business degree 
  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing leading the development of media strategy and/or advertising 
  • 5+ years’ experience in project and/or account management and/or management of an in-house and outsourced team
  • Candidates must have deep experience with: Excel; Google Analytics; online media platforms (preferably Doubleclick for Advertisers)
  • Expertise in analyzing large volumes of data and making key business decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Agency management experience is extremely helpful.   
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
