Job Description

JOB SUMMARY 

Responsible for performing functions to research, develop, document, implement, train and support information security and lead in the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PODS information assets. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leadership 

  • Provide leadership through thought and action in all domains of information security, risk, and compliance 
  • Facilitate execution of plan of information security objectives and coordinate action of associates to achieve valuable outcomes that reduce threats, fulfill obligations, or positively exploit opportunities  
  • Lead by example demonstrating valuable behaviors of, dignity, integrity, trustworthiness, and humility and creating an environment of trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort 

Management 

  • Work within the Information Security operating model to help identify resource gaps and recruit, interview, select, hire and terminate as required 
  • Create performance/training plans to enhance staff skills  

Execution 

  • Develop measurable metrics for baselining and improving information security practices 
  • Deliver periodic reporting of valuable security concerns 

Relations/Communication 

  • Develop effective relationships with other lines of business to demonstrate information security as business enablers 
  • Leverage effective communication skills to convey strategic ideas clearly and concisely with peers and team members  

 

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management.   
  • Job is directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security preferred 
  • Technical certifications such as Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network +, and Security + preferred 
  • 3+ years of practical working experience and knowledge of IT systems / network administration, including but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Microsoft Server 2003/2008/2012/2016, Windows XP/7/8/10 
  • Recent hands-on experience with Privileged Account Vaulting tool (Cyber Ark, Thycotic, Vault Logic) is required including managing rules, performing upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting 
  • Management of an enterprise anti-virus solution  
  • Proven ability to lead an enterprise vulnerability management program  
  • Management of industry recognized email, web filtering, and SIEM solutions are required 

 

  • Solid understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Internet, wireless, email security, OS security policies, VPN, IIS web server security, WAF’s, and firewalls 
  • Familiarity and general understanding of Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment methodologies 
  • Familiarity and practical application of the CWE, CVE, and CVSS
