JOB SUMMARY

 

Responsible for working alongside finance, operations and commercial functions to forecast demand trends, understands, incorporate and suggests marketing efforts and company-wide initiatives, understand operational constrains and opportunities, to create comprehensive revenue plans at an annual level, as well as quarterly and monthly forecasts. Tracks, measures, and reports on performance against plans, prior forecast, and prior periods. Provides and communicates insights on drivers of performance, evaluates impacts of initiatives and operational constrains, and continually monitors reservations, asset utilization and revenue performance to identify and report on issues, challenges, and opportunities.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and statistics, including gdp, housing metrics, moving and storage metrics, etc.
  • Keeps informed of competitor actions, growth plans, offerings and pricings actions.
  • Maintains close contact with marketing and commercial functions to understand initiatives, including upper funnel tactics and results, media spend, new partnerships, new products, etc.
  • Maintains close contact with operational leaders to understand and incorporate business constrains, changes on storage footprints, market coverage, current and future container quantities.
  • Maintains a good understanding of pricing and demand elasticity.
  • Maintains close contact with Finance partners to align on objectives, business plans and provide business insights incorporated in plans and forecasts. 
  • Provide Finance and operational teams basis for defining operational requirements (expected phone calls, driver jobs and other staffing needs)
  • Work alongside Data Analytics to define and align on data sources for performance measuring. 
  • Creates and distributes reports and analysis to describe past performance, including insights on drivers of performance.
  • Creates and distributes revenue plans and forecast, including logic and support materials.

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in quantitative field or marketing; MBA desired but not required
  • 6+ years in Planning, Forecasting and Analysis, Revenue Management, Financial Planning and Analysis, Pricing o related functions
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and articulate uniquely differentiated value propositions to both technical and business audiences
  • Strategic, critical but creative thinker, strong business sense and excellent financial skills
  • Proven record of success and experience in similar roles.
  • Be a good team player. 
  • Great track record in attracting and selecting a diverse pool of top talent
  • Familiarity with appropriate technologies
