JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialist will support PODS growth in 50+ company-owned markets.  He or she will analyze the results of direct response, promotional, and online marketing programs, and provide recommendations on testing and improvements.   She/he will work directly with location general managers, promotional partners, vendors, inside sales, and revenue management to implement and improve programs. The specialist position has responsibilities for the marketing operations, of all marketing and sales enablement functions/tools.  Work as liaison to Sales and Marketing to develop the strategy and execution plans for all in-person events, ensuring positive ROI.  This position is critical to the success of marketing to drive demand for sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Marketing Program Management
  • Analysis - Extract data from PODS and 3rd party data sources. Perform complex analysis of large data sets to determine ROI, Cost-per-lead, or other metrics as appropriate.  Analyze geographic and time-series data and make recommendations or decisions to modify programs. Manage and measure initiatives and programs.  Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business analysis and forecasting.
  • Help operationalize marketing program processes to support the efficient development and standardized measurement of demand-gen campaigns; design, implement, and document campaign processes.
  • Partner with individuals and teams across marketing to assist in building and running pipeline generating campaigns (email nurtures, events, webinars, etc.); execute, measure, and optimize multi-channel campaigns that drive the growth of the business.
  • Leverage CRM (Salesforce) to track and measure campaign performance, and drive insights for optimization opportunities and to improve performance benchmarks.
  • In partnership with our analytics team, assist in the development of reports using data from Salesforce, and other systems to better understand the effectiveness of our marketing programs.
  • Budget Management – Manage $250k budget for tradeshows and events. Build tradeshow schedule, develop strategy, customer hospitality plans; execute logistically; track all expenses and report on ROI of events.
  • Ensure that all sales and marketing enablement tools create a positive ROI. , ConstructConnect, Salesforce, etc.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Typically reports to Management.  Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Director or VP of Marketing
  • Job may directly be responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management). This position may have supervisory responsibilities i.e. (interns, temporary help, or part time employee).

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years required of prior experience
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Project Management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; Ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device
  • Ability to set up display tables and materials at conferences and trade shows
  • Ability to conduct tours on and off-site for vendors and ad agency

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Travel requirements: Must be able to travel overnight at least 25-33% of the time.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by management.
  • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
