JOB SUMMARY

 

It’s an exciting time to join the PODS Brand and Marketing Communications team. We are GROWING and building an in-house creative team! We are looking for a creative leader (Senior Graphic Designer / Creative Director) to join our growing in-house team. This person will help shape creative processes and develop tools fundamental to our successful growth. She or he will be well-versed in conceptual creative, able to recognize smart copy, and have a passion for bringing campaigns to life.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead graphic designer, inspiring other creative teammates to do their best work and offering support through coaching and technical skills training
  • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects; and oversee them to completion
  • Help shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all materials are brand appropriate
  • Develop and execute designs for projects that support marketing and creative initiatives for our key audiences: prospects, customers and associates
  • Receive, interpret, and implement direction/feedback from project stakeholders
  • Ensure all communications consistently reflect the PODS brand
  • Build assets for online, print, and physical spaces that adhere to our brand guidelines, usability standards, and business needs
  • Provide recommendations and build documentation on content associated with our brand: photo and illustration libraries, templates, channel insight, and others
  • Proof and release final art files for production
  • Keep internal folder structure organized and DAM updated with the latest approved assets
  • Participate in department meetings to discuss project status
  • Perform general administrative duties, including meeting scheduling and PowerPoint presentation development, for the department as needed
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Director, Brand and Marketing Communications

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • This role requires fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and strong project management skills
  • Previous people management experience a plus as this position offers room to grow quickly into a management role if the candidate is ready
  • Preferred experience as an ad agency Creative Director, with a strong graphic design background
  • Stellar communication skills, including a desire to stay connected with partners and deliver real-time updates whether sharing project ideas, content creation, or roadblocks
  • Breadth of design skills and experience across various media and multiple audience types; responsive web design, email and digital media design experience preferred
  • 7 - 10 years’ experience working in Graphic Design at an agency or in-house environment
  • Four-year degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related area 
  • Comfortable working across tools, like Asana, to record project status
  • Skilled in the preparation of production ready files for print
  • Prior print production management a plus
  • Must be able to manage time effectively, multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment 

Familiarity with MS Office, including: Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
