JOB SUMMARY

 

It’s an exciting time to join the PODS Brand and Marketing Communications team. We are GROWING and building an in-house creative team! We are hiring a Copywriter to lead conceptual development and copywriting for creative projects. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as a thought leader and brand storyteller, bringing fresh ideas for projects of all sizes
  • Develop and execute copy for projects that support marketing and creative initiatives for our key audiences: prospects, customers and associates 
  • Receive, interpret, and implement direction/feedback from project stakeholders
  • Anticipate project challenges and provide practical solutions
  • Understand and embrace our Brand voice. Work daily alongside Graphic Designers, Project Managers, and creative stakeholders across departments to develop concepts and copy that work together to achieve our goals
  • Ensure all communications consistently reflect the PODS brand
  • Keep commitments by delivering exceptional work on-time and on-budget. 
  • Provide recommendations and build documentation on content associated with our brand: messaging guides, messaging architecture, glossaries
  • Proof final art files and some website QA
  • Keep internal folder structure organized and DAM updated with the latest approved copy resources
  • Participate in department meetings to discuss project status, and collaborate with team 
  • Perform general administrative duties, including meeting scheduling and PowerPoint presentation development, for the department as needed
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management.   Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Director, Brand

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • 4 - 7 years of conceptual copywriting in an advertising agency or in-house advertising department
  • Brings enthusiasm and positive thinking to every opportunity
  • Stellar communication skills, including a desire to stay connected with partners and deliver real-time updates whether sharing project ideas, content creation, or roadblocks
  • Copy experience across various media and multiple audience types; digital media, email and website experience preferred
  • Four-year degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related area 
  • Comfortable working across tools, like Asana, to record project status
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and perform in a deadline driven environment  
  • Skilled at MS Office, including: Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
