Job Description



The Manager of Sales Support is responsible for leading analytical, reporting and administrative efforts to assist the sales organization become a more efficient and effective selling team. This individual will apply analytical expertise and critical thinking to drive business performance by supporting the team via analysis and report generation. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for communicating with appropriate department leaders to maximize customer satisfaction. Information collected acts as a strategy companion in support of trends by sales channel, client type and tracks performance against goals. The primary objective of this position is to grow revenue and profits specifically in the direct sales channels (National Accounts and Regional Accounts) through the use of data and communication. The measure of success is consistent growth in volume, revenue and gross profit margin of the entire Commercial segment. 




  • Support the department in their efforts to grow the specific sales channels while balancing the need for revenue, profit and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes Dashboards/KPI’s, Data Mining and Statistical Analysis in support of goals and outcomes.
  • Responsible for gathering market intelligence from other departments and Customers interactions, as well as organizing and analyzing quoting and follow up systems to ascertain the best balance of volume and profits for the products.
  • Feed suggestions for improving workflows into the business community.
  • Provide application support as needed.
  • Develop reporting designed to assist the sales organization in tracking
  • Act as liaison between sales organization and other functional areas including the Customer Success team, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Management, Operations and Logistics
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Job Requirements


JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 0 – 2 years required of prior experience in the role of a business analyst or similar capacity (5+ preferred)
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Superior Analytical Skills; Attention to Detail
  • Project Management skills
