JOB SUMMARY

The Specialist - Commercial Sales is responsible for making and receiving telephone calls with the intent of promoting or selling company products and services as the technical sales representative for our commercial product line. The Specialist must possess extensive product knowledge and an understanding of technical specifications and processes that pertain to the specific commercial products. The Specialist is responsible for establishing and fostering relationships with existing and new customers to generate meaningful sales growth and profitability. This role serves as a local expert to answer all inquiries while referring more complex issues and lead opportunities to senior sales or support staff. Utilizes an in-depth knowledge of products and customer needs to generate sales and exceed client expectations while adhering to company policy and operational requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains high phone adherence to sell to and service commercial customers
  • Solve complex customer service issues
  • Participate in outbound sales programs
  • Cultivates and communicates lead opportunities for sales team that turn into long-term solution-oriented relationships and feed regional and national reps as necessary
  • In-depth knowledge with competitor strengths and weaknesses and ability to leverage this knowledge for company benefit in generating business.
  • Maintains relationships with franchisees and corporate operations staff that is customer and profit-focused
  • Utilize CRM to update and manage the customer account lifecycle.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred
  • 1+ years experience working in a high volume sales call center or three years in a customer service related environment
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a business to business environment preferred
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Excellent communication skills
