JOB SUMMARY

It’s an exciting time to join the PODS Brand and Marketing Communications team. We are instigating new voice and tone guidelines and reimagining content across all channels. We are looking for a new teammate with content management experience, blog management and writing experience, knowledge of SEO best practices, creative writing chops, and experience managing creative teams or freelancers. Our new teammate will support the development of blog, email and web communications. This person will work closely with the digital team and other internal departments, and will be responsible for overseeing internal and external creative teams’ workflows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the ideation and execution of content marketing initiatives that are on-strategy and on-brand
  • Responsible for maintaining the company’s blog and delivering content that is on-strategy and posted on-time, meeting weekly production goals 
  • Oversees the development of new content by external freelancers and/or agency partners
  • Responsible for proofreading and copy-editing content written by external freelancers and/or agency partners
  • Occasionally required to personally write external content for blog, email, website, and other channels 
  • Coordinates with SEO and creative agency partners as well as freelance copywriters to develop relevant, compelling content consistent with our brand voice and strategy
  • Uses consumer insights and other survey data to understand consumer personas; generates variations in content for multiple consumer segments and A/B testing
  • Makes recommendations on website navigation and user interfaces for a superior user experience
  • Reviews and edits new and existing internal and external communications to ensure they meet brand guidelines and promote a positive customer experience
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required

 

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management.   Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Manager, Marketing
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other full time employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • BA/BS or its equivalent required; degree in English, Communications or Marketing is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of content marketing
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills are required
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver feedback to internal and external creatives is required
  • Knowledge of content marketing and SEO best practices is required
  • Ability to manage significant workloads and shifting priorities
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at time
  • Ability to manage budgets 
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be passionate about creating a positive customer experience
  • Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
