Job Description


This position is responsible for the leadership, analysis, and design of the Enterprise Information Architecture for PODS supporting our extraordinary company growth projections and digital experiences vision. Plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the Company’s technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap. Partners with both business and technology groups to ensure that the proposed technical solutions not only align with the Company’s overall objectives but also ensure that both groups enable and drive each other to meet the needs of the Company’s mission and vision. This position will require you to deliver IA blueprints and designs, in line with functional IA roadmaps. A core part of the role will also be to evangelize Information Architecture and the value and impact of good Information Architecture design and governance to both IT and business teams. 

The candidate must be recognized as an expert in Enterprise Information Architecture, with a demonstrated track record of delivering the optimal design of data and information architectures to support business objectives. The candidate will possess the background, skills, and experience to independently initiate and coordinate teams in complex technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and prototyping exercises. The candidate will also show demonstrated success in designing and documenting data flows across the estate, designing data models for analytics/reporting, assessing the feasibility of data models, working with business data governance groups in establishing data standards (master, reference, structure), and working with solution architects on data integration and service architectures. 

The candidate will have at least 12 years of experience working for a company or governmental agency with at least 300 employees (if private sector) or 500 employees (if governmental agency).


  • Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding architectural designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
  • Establish and thoroughly document strategic standards for enterprise application architecture across diverse platforms and internal engineering and development teams.  
  • Ability to partner and collaborate across both IT and business teams to inform on the best Information Architecture
  • Oversee mapping of enterprise information architecture models to package application models, to determine impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions to enterprise information architecture requirements.
  • Ensures the data and the information needs of the business are realized through an intentional information architecture.
  • Document the infrastructure architecture environment and procedures to ensure the infrastructure remains cost effective, efficient, and of high quality.
  • Blueprint Data Architecture, including multi-year transitions and recommendations to drive transformation and modernization
  • Re-Engineers and maintains an enterprise-wide view of the data across all business systems. Analyzes information requirements specified by the user community and designs the required data structures to support those requirements.
  • Champions efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management (MDM), metadata management, analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.


Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of enterprise level in one or more of the following IT disciplines: data architecture, database design, business intelligence. 
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Data Architect
  • An Enterprise Architecture framework qualification such as TOGAF or ZF is plus.
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with MDM, BI, data warehouse design and implementation techniques
  • Knowledge of industry standard middleware, ETL, master data hub, and service oriented architecture, design and delivery solutions
  • Eexperience of working with a range of BI & analytics architectures: including traditional warehousing, Distributed computing, NoSQL, virtualization or data streaming,
  • Experience of defining Information Architectures for cloud-based solutions and technologies such as Azure Data Factory for ETL, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Azure SQL, Cassandra & Cosmos.
  • An understanding of the use and hands-on experience with ERWin for application (OLTP) and data warehouse (OLAP) data models and implementation, or industry standard modelling tool
  • An understanding of domain modelling, business process data flows, business information modelling, entity flows diagrams, common information models, Master Data Management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Stack
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of, and hands-on experience of implementing data management capabilities – including Master and Reference Data Management, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management and Data Governance.
