Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the analysis of business needs to identify business problems and propose appropriate software solutions.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify value proposition gaps of current and proposed solutions
  • Analyze information system issues related to business stakeholders
  • Assess improvement opportunities which align with business strategy
  • Diagnose primary and alternates solutions for stakeholder evaluation
  • Categorize opportunities, projects and enhancements by Return on Investment and long-term advantages
  • Participate in the development of user stories and validation criteria for enhancements
  • Formulate artifacts, including but not limited to, business needs assessments, processes flows and information system configurations
  • Acquire business approval for all requirements
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and functional testing
  • Classify risks, issues and escalate when required

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Project Manager III
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)

Job Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • 0 – 2 years analyzing business issues within organizations of at least 1,000 users
  • Experiences with software product delivery using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • 4 Year College Degree (Computer Science, Business and/or Finance)
  • Experience with product and project management tools such as Team Foundation Server, JIRA or MS Project.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate in a written, spoken or visual manner at all personnel levels

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor
  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Negligible
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
